The Summit County Historical Society visited Barber on November 14 presenting a
lesson from its fourth grade outreach series entitled A River Through Time.
The fourth graders attending traced the history of native people in Ohio beginning with the Ice Age,
through the Paleo period, on to the rise of the Mound Builders, and finally studying the woodland tribes.
Students learned about and handled artifacts, tools, and clothing from those eras.
